Yes I loved him, yes I adored him!!! Still can't believe Mats has retired. Wishing him the very best for the game tonight. Truly an inspirational player. From an expat Aussie in NZ who can't believe they can't get to the Rod Laver Arena tonight for a rematch of the 1988 Aus Open Final.

Glad to see you back in Australia Mats. I've enjoyed your tennis for many years starting with your appearance at Kooyong, also managed to have many sleepless nights seeing you play the French Open. There should be a HUGE reunion of the Swedish players here in Melbourne so we can once again enjoy some decent tennis played by good sportsmen. It's just not the same anymore, especially since Thomas Enqvist stopped playing.____Cheers, Sheryl

Mats Wilander playing at the age of 44 in the Austalian Open ! We saw him in 1988 play in the US Open in New York so I'm watching today and hoping he wins!!
